Participants of the paralegal training are awarded with certificates of participation.

As part of their participation in the series of 6 trainings, 20 paralegals engaged in communities, various organizations in the country, as well as students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tirana and beyond, were awarded certificates of participation.

The trainings were held during the month of March near the CLE offices, thanks to the “Enhancing access to justice through paralegals” project, which aims to empower paralegals and their role in communities.

The trainings were conducted in cooperation with the Free Legal Aid Directorate, on the following topics:

  1. Family law
  2. Right of ownership.
  3. The right of inheritance
  4. The right to social and health insurance
  5. Administrative law
  6. Ways to benefit from secondary legal aid (free lawyer guaranteed by the state)

The aim of these trainings is to prepare paralegals on some main topics to start their activity in helping citizens and different communities. They also aim to create a network among these paralegals to also shape their work and activity in the country.

During the trainings, the participants had the opportunity to be informed about the rights addressed and to discuss longer together. The topics aroused interest and discussion among the participants who also shared their personal experiences.

These trainings were developed within the project “Enhancing access to justice through paralegals” organized by CLE within the project “Expanding Free Legal Aid Services to Women and Men in Albania” financed by Austrian Development Cooperation and implemented by UNDP in cooperation with Ministry of Justice.
