CLE is representing in the Tirana Court of First Instance employees working in the call centre sector and the National Labour Union of Telephone Operators in adjudicating a dispute with the employer for payment for work performed on unpaid official holidays until December 2018. After the Court heard the case of 190 employees who were denied payment for work performed on public holidays during 2018, the Labour Union was informed that the employer decided to pay 190 employees the average payment of ALL 45,000 for a total amount of approx. ALL 8,550,000.
The employer has not yet paid about 70 employees who are not currently employed in this company. As a result, we are continuing to assist with the legal process, which started in January 2021.
