CLE – Vepro@Mjedisi: Active youth for a green European Albania

Centre for Legal Empowerment completed the informational training cycle as part of the project “Vepro@Mjedisin: Active youth for a green European Albania”.

On the 1st and 2nd of December, Centre for Legal Empowerment held at the premises of the Faculty of Law of the University of Tirana, the trainings on “Climate Change and the Legal Framework” and “Illustrating the Positive Practices of the Circular and Green Economy”. The main purpose of these trainings is information and awareness on environmental protection in the legal framework.

The trainings were held by Prof. Assoc. Ervin Karamuço, who made a presentation of the environmental problems that are encountered and the legal aspects in environmental protection, citing concrete cases of actions and right strategies followed in the framework of environmental protection.

During the held trainings, the interest and participation was high, and the participating students had the opportunity to discuss the topic at length, acquiring at the same time the topics part of the academic curriculum which is closely related to the training.

The two previous trainings were held with the students of the Faculty of Law at the Aleksandër Moisiu University in Durrës. More information on the first two trainings can be found here.

As part of this project, 5 students are preparing a manual on green practices that will soon be published on our website and be presented to the public.

**National Youth Congress (NYC) is an umbrella organization of youth – a union of youth organizations, informal groups, youth forums of political parties, with the aim of exchanging information, highlighting youth issues, lobbying and advocacy for solving these issues and building capacities for all entities involved in the network. ***The title “Tirana European Youth Capital 2022” (Tirana European Youth Capital 2022), which will be implemented during 2022 by the National Youth Congress in cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana, has been awarded to Tirana within the framework of the European Youth Capital initiative by the Forum European Youth. This program brings new opportunities, positive changes, encourages active participation, promotes European identity, diversity and inclusion, transforming the city into an international meeting point for young people.
