On February 1, at the offices of Center for Legal Empowerment, the certificate awarding ceremony was held for all participants in the “Initial training of paralegals engaged in Primary Legal Assistance Centers, NGOs and various communities”.
This project enabled a cycle of 5 online trainings which was followed by a study visit to the Primary Legal Aid Center in Tirana. All participants received a further qualification on the training topics:
- The notion of paralegal; The legal framework and its functions for the benefit of the community
- Legal aid guaranteed by the state, the innovations of law no. 111/2017
- Legal framework for the protection of special beneficiary categories of legal aid
- The right to information and the way of drafting official documents
- Understanding mediation, alternative dispute resolution
Present in this activity were Mr. Franc Terihati, executive director of CLE, Mr. Ergys Qirici, general director of the Free Legal Aid Directorate (DNJF) and mrs. Patricia Pogaçe, Director of the Directorate of Policy Implementation and Administration of Primary Aid at DNJF. In their opening speech, they expressed their gratitude for the organization and success of the training with the participation of over 20 paralegals and the interest expressed by many others for further trainings.
After the distribution of the certificates, a short discussion was held on various problems encountered in society and on paralegals needs for future trainings.
