Opposition to the construction of hydropower plants in Thirra, Mirdita Municipality

Two HPPs and a water bottling plant have been planned to be built in the villages of Thirra, Sang and Xhuxh in Mirdita Municipality. Since these projects are going to severely affect the lives of all area residents, they have contested the projects through administrative complaints and massive protests. The lawyers have collected documents and submitted the lawsuit to the Administrative Court. According to the powers of attorney already signed, the number of the plaintiffs is 166 residents.
