CLE: The last trainings for paralegals are held within the project “Enhancing access to justice through paralegals.”

Inheritance Law, Social and Health Insurance Law , Administrative Law, and the Method of Obtaining Secondary Legal Aid (free lawyer guaranteed by the state) were the topics of the last trainings held. 

On March 9 and 15, the next trainings were held near the CLE offices within the project “Enhancing access to justice through paralegals”, which aims to empower paralegals and their role in communities.

The March 9 trainings were held by Msc. Donalb Xibraku on the topics Law of inheritance and Law of social and health insurance. While the director of the Directorate of Free Legal Aid, Mr. Ergys Qirici, trained the participants on March 15 on the Administrative Law as well as the ways of benefiting from secondary legal aid.

The participants, 20 paralegals engaged in communities, various organizations in the country as well as students of the Faculty of Law in the Universities in the country, had the opportunity to discuss and learn more about these topics.

The topics aroused interest and discussions which continued during the break between topics. The participants also had the opportunity to get to know each other and each other’s work better, fulfilling another goal of the project, the creation of a network of paralegals among themselves.

The first two trainings for paralegals were held on March 1 on the topic of Family Law and Property Law. At the end of the training, the participants were evaluated with a certificate of participation.

These trainings were developed within the project “Enhancing access to justice through paralegals”organized by CLE within the project “Expanding Free Legal Aid Services to Women and Men in Albania” financed by Austrian Development Cooperation and implemented by UNDP in cooperation with Ministry of Justice.
